This is a normal condition that occurs often when running 16bit apps in Windows. An easy way to reduce the overall CPU usage for NTVDM.EXE is to edit the _default.pif file in the Windows directory. R-click > Properties > Misc tab > Idle Sensitivity set to High. This will usually do the trick and keep NTVDM.EXE from using 100% CPU. It also helps if you can set the priority to LOW on the NTVDM. You can also enter the following in the command line of your Shortcut, 'start /low [application]'.
